Lewis Hamilton appears to be enjoying life at Ferrari so far having spent the last few weeks embedding himself within the team ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season.
The seven-time world champion was present at the F1 75 launch event in London, where Ferrari revealed their livery for the 2025 season.
Hamilton said he was ‘invigorated’ when asked what it was like driving for Ferrari, as he appeared to be all smiles alongside Charles Leclerc for the fan event at the O2 Arena.
The last few weeks have been all about preparing for the upcoming season for Hamilton, after he took part in tests at Fiorano and Barcelona. Hamilton’s confidantes say he is ready to reach another level at Ferrari, provided the team can give him a car capable of winning titles.
Discussing the main differences between this move and what it was like moving to Mercedes in 2013, Hamilton explained how this has been a ‘big leap’ for him in an interview with Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari move ‘big leap’ compared to Mercedes
The Ferrari move is the first time Hamilton has moved to a team outside of the Mercedes umbrella in F1, and the first time he has been with a team that is not based in the UK.
Hamilton has already been seen speaking Italian to Ferrari fans and saying some phrases to his team, as he looks to embed himself in the culture. He said this has been one of the hardest things to adjust to compared to his switch to Mercedes.
“Everything is just so different here. I remember when I moved from McLaren to Mercedes, that was a big leap but it was still with the Mercedes engine and there was some similarities,” said Hamilton.
“But coming here to Italy, everything is just so different and the tools in which we use, the language element, everyone has been amazing to work with and clearly everyone is very hungry, super driven, massively committed. For me, it’s really trying to enjoy the testing we had and it’s just been fun, so different.”
Lewis Hamilton confident ahead of F1 pre-season testing
Hamilton will take to Fiorano in Ferrari’s 2025 car for the first time ahead of pre-season testing, at the official launch of their current car.
He has already driven Ferrari machinery at an initial test at Fiorano in January, and through Pirelli’s 2026 tyre tests at Barcelona where Hamilton was faster than Leclerc.

Hamilton suffered a crash in one of the tests, but overall his feedback has been positive about the car which gives him good working ground for the start of the season.
The seven-time world champion is hopeful that they can be competitive out of the box in Melbourne, knowing their rivals will have made incremental tweaks over the winter break that bring significant performance.
