EA Sports has officially unveiled a first-look trailer for the highly-anticipated F1 25 game, with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton not only being heavily involved with the promotions, but also featuring on the cover. The popular racing game will be released on 30 May, 2025.
Lewis Hamilton Breaks Cover
The British driver will appear by himself on the cover of the game. Despite being arguably the most successful Formula 1 driver with 105 Grand Prix wins, Hamilton has never been on the cover of one of these games.
“Moving to Scuderia Ferrari HP is such an exciting new chapter of my career, and it feels incredible to have this moment represented on the EA Sports F1 25 Iconic Edition cover,” Hamilton said. “I’m so energised and hungry for this next part of my Formula One story and love that racing fans and players get to experience that with me through the game.”
F1 25’s Iconic Edition reflects Hamilton’s move to Ferrari, arguably the most legendary team on the grid.
F1 25 features
This game’s two editions will drop support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, making it only playable on the most up-to-date hardware.
The standard edition will feature the F1 75 Celebration Pack, F1 World Starter Pack, and 5,000 PitCoin for those who pre-order. It also stars Oscar Piastri, Carlos Sainz, and Oliver Bearman on the cover.
The Iconic Edition, starring Lewis Hamilton on the cover, will see a collection of Hamilton-based content, and will even include chapters that involve the F1 movie team, APXGP.
Breaking Point has returned in story mode, following the team Konnersport, while also introducing a number of difficulty modes. My Team mode has also received a number of improvements, including an Owner Perks system that will pinpoint a specific part of managing the team on top of giving you a place in the hot seat.
Using LIDAR, the tracks of the season have been upgraded in-game. Players may also get a chance to race them in reverse.
“F1 25 delivers more ways for players to experience Formula 1 and race their way, from the drama of Braking Point to making headlines in the pursuit of World Championship glory,” said Codemasters senior creative director Lee Mather. “This year, there are new opportunities for players to connect, collaborate, and compete than ever before. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”
More details are expected to be revealed as we edge closer to 30 May.
