Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weather report: Threat of rain?

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix is scheduled for the end of this week. Currently, there is a chance that rain could impact Friday, which is set to host the first two practice sessions.

Although the threat of rain reduces on Saturday, it will creep back up for race day. Humidity could also pose as a challenge for the drivers with it hovering around the 50% mark all weekend.

Practice 1 – 13:30 – 14:30 local time
Practice 2 – 17:00 – 18:00 local time

Friday is expected to reach a high of 19°C with 53% humidity. Practice day will also see a slight threat of rain, with a 24% coverage predicted. Winds ENE are also expected to be between 10 and 15 mph.

Saturday, 17 May

Practice 3 – 12:30 – 13:30 local time
Qualifying – 16:00 – 17:00 local time

Temperatures are expected to rise on Qualifying day to a high of 22°C. However, humidity should drop to 49%. The coverage of rain also significantly drops to just 6%.

Sunday, 18 May

Grand Prix – 15:00 local time

Temperatures are likely to rise even further for race day to 25°C with 50% humidity. There is currently a 20% coverage of rain with winds WSW expected between 5 and 10 mph.
