Charles Leclerc has just made a three-word promise Ferrari fans will love ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season

Charles Leclerc is a front-runner for the Formula 1 championship in 2025 and it may be his best chance yet to claim a crown.

Ferrari ended last season with the second-fastest car, but it lost the constructors’ championship to McLaren by a slender 14-point margin.

Now, Leclerc has a new teammate in the building too, with Lewis Hamilton moving from Mercedes in an attempt to claim his eighth drivers’ title.

The upcoming 24-race campaign is a near risk-free shot at glory, with the 2026 F1 regulations around the corner bringing major change to the grid.

Hamilton and Leclerc can ‘exploit’ Ferrari’s 2025 car after an overhaul of their front suspension to bring them more in line with their rivals.

On track performance will be key, but behaviour will be too. Team boss Fred Vasseur has already admitted that Ferrari needs to be careful with Hamilton and Leclerc’s battles within the car.

Charles Leclerc makes three-word Ferrari prediction ahead of the 2025 F1 season

While Leclerc is just about to enter his seventh season with the Scuderia in Formula 1, he has had to wait a long time for a car capable of competing at the top consistently.

He finished a comfortable third behind the two title favourites for this season in 2024, with Lando Norris and Max Verstappen expected to be somewhere near the front again this year.

Leclerc lost confidence in Ferrari’s car at pre-season testing in Bahrain between February 26-28, where he had a first extended run in the SF25.

With less than a week before the season-opening Australian Grand Prix, he will be hoping that his engineers find a fix for his woes in the short time before the event.

In a post made by F1 on X (formerly known as Twitter), Leclerc can be seen making a three-word prediction for his 2025 campaign.

It simply said: “A world champion,” when quizzed what he will be over the next 10 months.

Charles Leclerc may have an ‘unbridgeable’ advantage over Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari

Even though Hamilton is about to enter his 19th consecutive season in Formula 1, he doesn’t quite have the edge in experience over his teammate for once.

Moving to a new country, with hundreds of new faces and names, and a new language to learn is an incredibly daunting task for anyone, including a seven-time champion.

Leclerc may have an ‘unbridgeable’ advantage over Hamilton due to his deeper understanding of Italian, which may play a factor in setting up the car and communicating changes.

It places a bit of pressure on the 39-year-old to pick things up as quickly as possible or else he risks falling behind his Monegasque teammate early in the season.

Both drivers are contracted for the next two seasons, meaning they will need to bear in mind that they have to work with each other for a while yet, and remain friendly.
