Canada FP1 recap

Max Verstappen set the quickest time in FP1, a 1m13.193s time, to beat a rapid pair of Williams drivers to the top.

Charles Leclerc produced a red flag with a crash at Turn 3 – and will play no part in FP2 as his Ferrari requires extensive rebuilds.

And welcome back! We’re just spooling up for FP2 in Canada, which will get rolling in about an hour’s time.

The team principals’ press conference is just wrapping up, with Fred Vasseur forthright on the rumours about his future at Ferrari. “We are speaking about people, not things – we need a bit more respect,” he said.
