Summons for Tsunoda and Bortoleto

Both Yuki Tsunoda and Gabriel Bortoleto were given orders to visit the stewards’ office after apparent red flag infringements in FP3.

We are currently awaiting the outcome of that; Bortoleto was 19th overall in the order, while Tsunoda had a brake issue and only did 14 laps – he was at the bottom of the timesheets.

FP3 recap

Lando Norris put McLaren on top for the first time this weekend, after extracting a 1m11.799s from his car – a stark improvement after what he called McLaren’s “worst [Friday] of the year”.

He was just 0.078s clear of Charles Leclerc, who was on the pace immediately despite missing FP2 due to his shunt in the opening practice session.

Norris’ team-mate Oscar Piastri came to blows with the Wall of Champions, knocking his rear-right tyre off the rim – the shattered remains of his wheel cover produced a brief red flag to clear the debris.

Piastri was able to get going again, with no apparent damage to his suspension or gearbox.
