F1 fans are making one Ferrari livery demand after the team reveal their new look for the Miami Grand Prix

Ferrari will be entering the Miami Grand Prix off the back of a difficult start to the season, having suffered a double disqualification in China and dissapointing results for Lewis Hamilton.

It has been a tough start to the season for Hamilton, who has blamed part of his problems on the confidence he has under braking.

The materials used at Ferrari differ from those he had at Mercedes, with the braking systems themselves integral to how the cars harvest energy under braking.

Hamilton fell back by as much as half a second per lap compared to Leclerc in Saudi Arabia, with the gulf in performance between the two growing with each race.

After Ferrari was disqualified from the Chinese GP, they also had to change the setup parameters of their cars, which has also impacted Hamilton.

Despite the difficult start, Ferrari fans are hopeful their fortunes can turn around and have made one request after seeing their latest post on social media website Instagram.

Ferrari fans want livery change for Miami Grand Prix after seeing latest merchandise

Ferrari has teased their latest merchandise for the Miami GP, with both Leclerc and Hamilton set to adorn all white.

Fans have reacted to the new merchandise well, and believe Ferrari should make a change to their livery that could see them adopt a white and red paint scheme when speaking on social media.

One fan wrote: “Look stunning, hope the car is too!” While another fan also demanded a new livery to go with the merchanise: “Now all we need is the car livery!”

Another fan also commented: “Revenge in white in miami?” While one fan added: “Show me the car please!” in a seperate comment.

One fan questioned whether Ferrari will be using a new livery in Miami, as it is often a track that F1 teams use to show off branding: “Using special livery maybe?” While another commented: “White car?”

Ferrari’s last Miami GP special livery fell flat

The last time Ferrari ran a special livery at Miami, they paid tribute to their historic successes in North America.

Ferrari ran a livery that was predominantly red but featured streaks of blue, which was a reference to the North American Racing Team (NART) and their white and blue livery from the 1964 season.

However, the tribute fell flat on fans who felt the team should have had a more predominantly blue paint scheme, instead of using the same Rosso Corsa red on the car.

Ferrari has teased a potential collaboration between them and main sponsor HP for Miami, which will likely be revealed in the days leading up to the race weekend.
