With the 2025 Formula 1 season around the corner, the hype is starting to build as fans look forward to the team’s car launches.
The F1 75 Live event at the O2 Arena in London will be the first of its kind, with all 10 teams, including reigning champions McLaren and a Mercedes without Lewis Hamilton, set to unveil their liveries at the same time.
Hamilton’s 18-year-old replacement – young Kimi Antonelli, will be on hand alongside George Russell to reveal a car that they hope will fire them back to the top of the standings.
They finished fourth in the constructors’ championship last year, winning four races with a car that preferred cold conditions. They will be hoping that their winter developments will help to correct those issues.
The latest Mercedes rumours are that they’ve fixed their car problems for 2025 and may be able to compete with the likes of Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren consistently this season.
Before the season starts, team boss Toto Wolff may need to address Antonelli after attack comments, which suggested that he may be about to give 110% in pursuit of a rookie title.

Fans eager to see Mercedes’ 2025 F1 livery which may look like Ayrton Senna throwback
Mercedes have run a variety of different liveries over the last few years, including both black and silver, since 2020.
With the 2026 F1 regulations around the corner, the German manufacturer would be forgiven for turning their attention to next season early.
It takes pressure off Antonelli, who can spend his rookie season learning about the characteristics of their car and how the team operates.
Mercedes factory noise suggests they could be dominant in 2026 after promising early signs from their new power unit.

Their focus is on the upcoming season currently, and they have just teased fans with a glimpse of their new livery in a post on Instagram. Someone even compared it to one of Ayrton Senna’s paint schemes.
One dan wrote: “Back in black, like [the] 1985 Lotus,” while another said, “This number [Antonelli’s 12] meant so much to Ayrton Senna.”
Others anticipate the fight on track a bit more, writing: “Your goal is to beat Ferrari! I beg you Ferrari smoke.”
There were some positive cheers spread with “Love you Mercedes.” and “I believe in Kimi and above all, in Toto.”
And finally, there’s usually one negative comment, with someone saying: “It’s going to disappoint a lot of people.”
Juan Pablo Montoya has heard worrying ‘rumours’ about Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes F1 tests
Antonelli may be one of the best-prepared Formula 1 rookies ever to hit the track when he makes his debut at the Australian Grand Prix.
He has been given plenty of track time in older cars by the Silver Arrows in a bid to get him ready for the physical and mental demands of driving at the highest level.
Juan Pablo Montoya has heard worrying rumours about Antonelli’s Mercedes F1 tests and mentioned that he may have crashed a few times.

If they are in contention for race victories and maybe even a championship, the last thing they need will be millions in crash damage. It would hurt their development in 2025 and beyond.
The young Italian proved in practice at his home race last season that he is prone to mistakes, but they’re borne out of an exceptional confidence at such a young age. It should have upsides for his team too.
