It may still be early stages, but Max Verstappen put himself within one point of early championship leader Lando Norris with a superb victory at Suzuka, showing that the McLarens cannot afford to take their eyes off the ball at any point this year.

Mercedes and Ferrari remain in that chasing pack, however, with George Russell having had his best ever start to a Formula 1 season, and Ferrari looking to get themselves going in earnest after their double disqualification in China.

Lewis Hamilton will hope the “underperforming” part he spotted on his SF-25 will be fixed in Bahrain, while Yuki Tsunoda will also look to get himself on the board for his first points as a Red Bull driver, following his points at Suzuka.

Unlike in Japan, overtaking opportunities present themselves more readily in Bahrain, with the braking zones at Turns 1, 4, 10 and 11 all providing prime chances to get by for those brave enough to do so.

It’s set to be another dramatic weekend in Formula 1, so you won’t want to miss it!
