F1 TV receives biggest upgrade yet ahead of Australian Grand Prix

Formula 1’s digital streaming service has received an upgrade with a new top tier F1 TV subscription being confirmed in the week leading up to the Australian Grand Prix.

New Features in F1 TV Premium

  • 4K Ultra HD and HDR streaming – Watch every session in the highest quality available.
  • Multiview feature – Personalise your own viewing by combining the world feed, onboard cameras, and live timing pages on one screen (available on Chrome browser, Apple iOS, and TVOS-compatible devices).
  • Live coverage of all sessions – Watch every session over the weekend from Free Practice to the Sprint and Grand Prix.
  • Expanded motorsport coverage – Access live F2, F3, F1 Academy, and Porsche Supercup races.
  • Simultaneous streaming on six devices – Watch F1 on multiple screens.
  • Exclusive commentary and analysis – Coverage led by the likes of Laura Winter, James Hinchcliffe, Lawrence Barretto, Alex Jacques, Jolyon Palmer, Ruth Buscombe-Divey, Davide Valsecchi, Alex Brundle and Sam Collins.

It’s worth noting that on-board footage remains upscaled from 720p cameras.

Where to Watch

F1 TV Premium will currently be available via the Chrome web browser, Apple iOS, Apple TV, and Roku. Multiview is currently only supported on Apple iOS, Chrome web browser, and TVOS devices, but will allow fans to customise their view to their own preferences. 

Offering two tiers, F1 TV Pro and F1 TV Access, the Pro subscription will be entirely ad-free and fully immersive, dropping fans in the heart of the action with full coverage. F1 TV Access is a more streamlined version, giving fans access to race replays and real-time telemetry data.

Expert Commentary

For the 2025 season, F1 will continue to deliver high quality coverage led by their experienced pundits. 

Laura Winter takes on hosting duties, alongside former IndyCar race winner James Hinchcliffe and F1 correspondent Lawrence Barretto. Commentary comes from Alex Jacques, with insight provided by former F1 driver Jolyon Palmer, race strategy specialist Ruth Buscombe, 2012 GP2 champion Davide Valsecchi, European Le Mans Series champion Alex Brundle, and technical analyst Sam Collins.
