Formula 1 fans and pundits around the world are eagerly awaiting the day Lewis Hamilton is seen publicly as a Ferrari driver.
The seven-time champion is the latest F1 legend to race for the Maranello outfit, following in the footsteps of the likes of Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.
Hamilton confirmed his move to Ferrari before he stepped into the W15 for the 2024 season. The Brot leaves Mercedes after an incredible 12 years with the team.
Together, the partnership broke numerous records in F1 as Hamilton won six of his seven titles with the Silver Arrows. He became the winningest driver of all time and has the most podiums and pole positions in history.
Heading into 2025, the 40-year-old will be searching for his record eighth title with Ferrari. Hamilton has signed a contract until 2026 – with the option of a further year – in what will likely be his last move in F1.

The world is waiting for the seven-time champion to make his first appearance as a driver for the famous red team. Ferrari have scheduled a test at their Fiorano Circuit in January as they look to get him integrated into the team.
But Frederic Vasseur has already said Hamilton will not have the same fanfare as Schumacher did for his first Ferrari test as the team want to solely focus on the task at hand: preparing the Brit for 2025.
The test may be hard work for Italian police as the streets are expected to fill with Ferrari fans eager to see Hamilton drive their car for the first time.

But while fans will not get to see their new signing then, according to a report from sport.de, the date for Hamilton’s first public appearance as a Ferrari driver has been decided.
The report claims that Hamilton will first appear in red on February 18th,; the day of the F175 event at te O2 Arena in London where the 10 teams will unveil their 2025 challengers.
Hamilton ‘will not be introduced to the world press by Ferrari beforehand’, with the 40-year-old set to arrive in Maranello on ‘January 20th to get to know his employer’.

While the hype is there for the seven-time champion’s move to Ferrari, he joins the team in a poor run of form.
Hamilton registered his lowest finish in a championship in 2024 with seventh. While he did win two races at Silverstone and Spa – his first since 2021 – he was comprehensively beaten by teammate George Russell.

The 40-year-old performances in qualifying proved to be a major issue, getting eliminated in Q1 four times and only starting on the front row of the grid once.
Hamilton has been honest with Vasseur about his qualifying problems as he looks to right his wrongs with Ferrari in 2025 and challenge regularly at the front.
Loic Serra wants to address Ferrari’s tyre temperature issues before Hamilton’s debut in the hopes that it will set him in good stead to fix his qualifying woes.
