Ferrari have faced a difficult six races at the start of the 2025 Formula 1, having failed to deliver on expectations.
There was a lot of anticipation for their season with the arrival of Lewis Hamilton and having come close to winning the Constructors’ Championship last year, but they have not made the inroads in performance that rivals McLaren and Red Bull have over the winter break.
Hamilton finished behind teammate Charles Leclerc in the Miami Grand Prix, despite arguing with his team over their strategy in the race.
Ferrari has only scored one podium since the start of the season compared to six last year, which also included a win for Carlos Sainz at Australia.
Discussing their problems on the latest F1 Nation podcast, journalist Frederic Ferret believes they will not be making one significant change until they sort out a problem with their SF-25.

Ferrari will not bring big updates until they fix tyre problems
The main issue for Ferrari has been with the tyres, as they have been unable to make them last as long as their rivals in races.
Hamilton complained about his tyres in Miami, even though the team put him on the alternate strategy in a bid to break into the top ten places and score points.
Ferrari is reluctant to bring any further upgrades to their car until they sort out their tyre problems, according to Ferret.
“They made a mistake last year with the upgrade in Barcelona where they have been lost during the whole summer. The idea now is to not bring big updates until they find a solution for the tyre heating or managing,” said Ferret.
“There is no point bringing something for a car that is quite good, remember Leclerc was quickest at one point in Jeddah, but they don’t know yet how to manage it.”
The team didn’t bring any updates to Miami and have not done anything significant to their car since the Bahrain GP when they brought a new floor.
Fred Vassuer ‘diffiused’ situation with Lewis Hamilton after Miami GP
Hamilton was frustrated with Ferrari during the Miami GP because they put him on the alternate tyre strategy, which meant finishing the race on the medium, but did not immediately swap him and Leclerc.
Leclerc finished the race on the slower hard tyre, with Hamilton effectively losing time and the chance to challenge for Andrea Kimi Antonelli for P6.
After some frosty radio exchanges, Hamilton was allowed to pass Leclerc and having closed the gap to 2.5 seconds, Ferrari elected to switch them back.
Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur had ‘diffused’ the situation with Hamilton after the race, by talking over what happened with him in the paddock.
