Ferrari have improved significantly this season and are in contention for their first World Constructors’ Championship since 2008.
The Italian team have been quick on a range of circuits as Charles Leclerc took memorable victories at his home race in Monaco as well as the Italian Grand Prix.
Those two tracks, in particular, are at opposite ends of the downforce level required to be fast, which shows their SF-24 car works consistently.
Ferrari have been in and around the top five at the majority of the races with both Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, apart from a double retirement at the Canadian Grand Prix.
They are battling championship leaders McLaren for the Constructors’ Championship and are 24 points behind with two races to go.
That is a sizeable deficit, and Gian Carlo Minardi told the motorsport.com Italia YouTube channel that he feels Ferrari doesn’t have one thing required to win the championship.
Gian Carlo Minardi feels Ferrari need ‘serenity’ to win the Constructors’ Championship

The Italian team critically outscored McLaren with both cars, and Sainz took third place, which surprised Ferrari at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Both drivers being capable of scoring a lot of points is vital to winning the Constructors’ Championship and something Red Bull and Sergio Perez have struggled with.
Ferrari need to make very few errors over the final two races of the season in Qatar and Abu Dhabi as they need to significantly outscore McLaren.
Former F1 team boss Minardi explained they need a sense of calmness, which may be lacking at times within the Scuderia.
He said: “The starting grid and finishing order can be so variable that with two drivers who can undoubtedly score a lot of points in the next Grands Prix, even McLaren could probably get out of this place of the latest Grand Prix.
“But I believe that 24 points are not unattainable. So we need to find a bit of serenity in the team, which I don’t think is there at the moment.”
A constructors’ title may lift Lewis Hamilton before he joins Ferrari in 2025
Ferrari signed seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton earlier this year and the British driver will partner Leclerc next season.
Hamilton has become increasingly frustrated at Mercedes who haven’t been consistently challenging for wins since 2021.

He may have timed his move to the Italian team perfectly as they are improving and being able to match McLaren and Red Bull.
Next season could be very competitive at the sharp end of the field, and Hamilton should be revitalised at Ferrari if they are winning races.
