Haas will line up with Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman in 2025 as they look to build upon a strong 2024 campaign.
Under the guidance of Ayao Komatsu, the American outfit made a huge stride forward last season. Boasting arguably the fifth-fastest car on the grid come the end of the year, Haas narrowly missed out on sixth in the constructors’ championship to Alpine.

Nico Hulkenberg just missed out on a top-10 finish in the drivers’ championship after scoring 41 points to teammate Kevin Magnussen’s 16. Both drivers left the team at the end of the year to make way for Ocon and Bearman.
The former was allowed to join the team early after Alpine terminated his contract before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Bearman made two appearances for Haas as Magnussen’s replacement in Baku and Sao Paulo.
Before that, the Brit was handed his F1 debut with Ferrari in Jeddah, finishing seventh in place of Carlos Sainz. With Bearman being a Ferrari junior and Haas having two seats available, he was almost guaranteed a spot for 2025 after that performance.
Ferrari were impressed by Bearman’s display in Sao Paulo after outqualifying Hulkenberg – albeit he was knocked out in Q1. The 19-year-old will be looking to build on his solid showings with Ocon in 2025, but Jaime Alguersuari thinks Haas have made a mistake with their line-up.

Jaime Alguersuari hints Haas should have put Nico Hulkenberg next to Oliver Bearman in 2025
Ocon joins Haas as the senior driver for the first team in his career. After his stint at Alpine ended with friction, the 28-year-old will hope his move to the American outfit will be the fresh start he needs to perform.
But Alguersuari has hinted Haas made an error in letting Hulkenberg move to Sauber. Speaking on The After Lap Podcast, the former Toro Rosso driver felt the German was ‘spectacular’ last season.
“I wanted to add one thing about the Bearman subject. I also agree with you that he did very well in the option that they gave him last year with Ferrari,” he said.
“I think he is a boy, in addition, that has a lot to do, by he has a lot to see yet because he is very young, he has no experience.
“I really think that he will do well but I think they have put next to him a teammate who is a beast.
“And I say it again, for many will not see it but Nico Hulkenberg, who last year had a spectacular season. I mean this guy with this car, he got very well out of it what was not there.”
Esteban Ocon already feels Oliver Bearman has been ‘very impressive’ at Haas
Some people will have some concerns surrounding Haas’ partnership in 2025, given Ocon’s reputation for colliding with his teammates. Christian Danner predicts Ocon and Bearman will clash at some point in the future.
However, it appears the duo are getting on well at the moment. Ocon says Bearman’s technical knowledge is ‘very impressive’ and that the Brit is proving to be a ‘fun character’ to be around.

F1 fans are loving the ‘Bearcon’ partnership at Haas – the team will hope it translates to performance on the track.
Bearman knows he must get ‘stronger and stronger’ during his first full season in F1. Given his performances in 2024, the 19-year-old should not have an issue achieving that.
