Lewis Hamilton stuns in Australian GP outfit as he makes Ferrari debut

The Australian Grand Prix is finally upon us as Melbourne readies itself for the 2025 Formula 1 season’s first practice sessions later today. But ahead of the race weekend, Lewis Hamilton has injected his style into the paddock with an all-black outfit, his first weekend outfit choice of his Ferrari career.

Hamilton has long been synonymous with fashion, with the seven-time world champion partnering with some of the largest fashion brands in the world over his long racing career. Tommy Hilfiger has been a large project of his after he became a brand ambassador in 2018.

“The work that Tommy [Hilfiger] and the team have done by giving opportunities to up-and-coming designers, I think, is really cool,” he told GQ late last year. “That’s one of the best things about Tommy, really. He always creates and opens doors for people, and that’s exactly what he did with me. I don’t think I would be where I am today in the fashion space without him.”

Only recently has the former Mercedes driver partnered with Lululemon as their latest global brand ambassador.

“Obviously, there were women that I’d met who would just be raving about Lululemon,” Hamilton told GQ in a separate story. “I was like, ‘Uh, I can’t wear the leggings. When it comes to all the fabrics that I work with — when I’m designing clothes for example — the material is very, very important for me. There’s some brands I just can’t wear because it’s itchy.”

Hamilton walked into the Australian paddock dressed formally, making a point of his first race weekend with the Scuderia and mirroring his original photoshoot with the team.

He was seen wearing The Marino Jacket by Jacquemus with matching trousers priced at approximately $1,850, Mega Wayfarer RB0840DS sunglasses priced at approximately $240, and Western Boots by Ernest W. Baker, priced at $460. He wore jewellery by Tiffany & Co and Chrome Hearts.

Hamilton goes into this season optimistically. Talking to the media, including Motorsport.com, he said:

“I think just always through the years, the pressure that I put on myself has always been 10 times higher than any other pressure that can be put upon me. And I think I’ve not joined this team and been made to feel any pressure.

“I have an expectation for myself. I know what I can bring, I know I can deliver. I know what it’s gonna take to do that and it’s just getting your head down and working away. So I come with a very open mind coming this weekend. It is about getting into a season, it’s about getting into a good rhythm.

“I’m still learning this new car. It’s quite a lot different to what I’ve driven for of my previous career in the sense of the Mercedes powertrain coming into Ferrari powertrain, it’s something quite new. Different vibrations, different feel, different way of working. The whole team works completely differently.”
