Lando Norris was on the move during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix having started from 10th place on the grid.
The Briton had crashed in qualifying attempting to beat teammate Oscar Piastri to pole, and was now on a recovery drive to mitigate the effects of the Drivers Championship points.
Norris started on the hard tyres and made good progress in the opening laps, passing the Williams of Carlos Sainz and then Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton.
He would later find himself passing the two Mercedes drivers before finally pitting for his mandatory stop onto the medium tyres.
Discussing his race on Sky Sports F1 and Norris’ progress, Martin Brundle says he ‘loved’ seeing one thing Norris did during the closing stages of the race around the Jeddah Corniche circuit.

Martin Brundle ‘loved’ watching Lando Norris chase down Charles Leclerc
Norris spent the final laps of the race chasing down Charles Leclerc, who had put himself on the podium after extending his first stint on the hard tyres and passing George Russell in the second.
Both Norris and Leclerc were trading quickest laps at the end, with the pair separated by just one second at the finish line.
“I loved it from both of them. Full respect to everybody really because anyone who got to the end of that without tearing a wheel off it, I tip my hat to,” said Brundle.
“But when we saw Leclerc and Norris on those final laps just hustling the cars, I just loved it.”
Lando Norris loses Drivers’ Championship lead
Norris’ fourth place means he concedes the lead of the Drivers’ Championship to Piastri, who is now 10 points ahead in the table.
It was the first time that the Briton failed to finish on the podium all season, while Piastri has taken back-to-back wins in the Middle East.

Max Verstappen moves to within two points of Norris with his second place, although he would have likely emerged in the lead if he had not received a time penalty.
The Dutchman attempted a move around the outside of Piastri at the start, but took to the escape road. The FIA Stewards deemed he left the track and gained an advantage, forcing him to serve a five-second time penalty during his pit stop.
