Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton is doing everything in his power to win an eighth Formula 1 championship.
Debates will rage on about whether Lewis Hamilton is the greatest driver in Formula 1 history with several legendary racers in consideration.
The likes of Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna must also be considered, while Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is quickly entering the conversation.
For only the second time in Hamilton’s F1 career, he’s now gone 12 consecutive races without scoring a podium, which highlights how tough his start to life at Ferrari has been.

Hamilton has struggled to adapt to life at Ferrari but his difficulties with the ground effect cars go back to his time at Mercedes.
However, in the previous era of the sport, Hamilton was unstoppable until the arrival of Verstappen and Red Bull in 2021.
Martin Brundle was studying the mavericks of Formula 1 ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix and in his discussion, he barely mentioned Hamilton.
Nico Rosberg believes that the legendary commentator made one incorrect assertion about the 40-year-old.

Nico Rosberg and Martin Brundle disagree over Lewis Hamilton’s racing style
Speaking on Sky Sports F1 (15/6 6:15 pm), Brundle was reflecting on the feature where he compared Verstappen, Senna and Schumacher and said: “The template is to drive like Senna, Schumacher and Verstappen because the percentage gains are much greater than the losses.
“That win at all costs, the pain they take from losing is very similar. I really find it remarkable just how similar Ayrton, Michael and Max actually are or were.
“That’s how you’ve got to drive I think. If I had my chances again, I would look at that and say, ‘That’s how you do it!’”
Rosberg replied and said: “I mean I fully agree with that! I raced wheel-to-wheel with Max Verstappen and he’s not a dirty driver, he’s just a gladiator who does not give up and is absolutely relentless and will maximise those grey areas all the time.
“I think it’s awesome, I think it’s awesome to watch, we know he’s one of the greatest we’ve ever seen.”
It was then put to Rosberg that Brundle had said that Hamilton wasn’t capable of the same level of ruthlessness as the likes of Verstappen and Schumacher.

The German world champion continued and said: “No, that’s the only thing I would slightly modify.
“You’ve painted him as the full angel in the piece there, but he also had the gladiator characteristics and he would also push those limits very, very hard in the wheel-to-wheel racing.
“But Lewis had such an incredible skill to never be completely at fault! He would always be like 50/50, the other guy’s at fault and he did that amazingly well.”

Toto Wolff reveals Lewis Hamilton decision before Max Verstappen Silverstone crash
One of the highest profile incidents that comes to mind then suggesting Hamilton can be a ‘gladiator’ as Rosberg puts it is the 2021 British Grand Prix.
The title battle between Hamilton and Verstappen was beginning to intensify and on the opening lap, they weren’t giving each other an inch.

Toto Wolff shared the decision Hamilton made at Silverstone ahead of the race where he knew before going to wheel-to-wheel with the Dutchman that he wasn’t going to yield.
It ended in a huge collision and Verstappen went to hospital as a result, while Hamilton went on to win the race.
Hamilton’s driving style likely sits somewhere in the middle of where Brundle and Rosberg see him, but he may need to become more ruthless if he’s going to return to winning ways at Ferrari.
