Racing Bulls have ‘deeply revised’ one key aspect of their 2025 F1 car after Red Bull inspiration

Racing Bulls have won two Formula 1 races in 20 years but 2025 may be their chance to add to their Formula 1 trophy cabinet.

After another triumphant season, Red Bull and Max Verstappen won a fourth consecutive drivers’ championship in 2024.

Racing Bulls benefit from their success, with the good bits of the senior team’s car finding their way onto their challenger for 2025.

New signing Isack Hadjar and veteran Yuki Tsunoda will attempt to lead them to a better finish in the upcoming campaign after they fell just short of a sixth-place finish in the constructors’ last year.

With the 2026 F1 regulations nearing, the field is expected to be closer than ever, handing opportunities to those in the midfield.

Racing Bulls have already fixed a key Red Bull issue for 2025 and shouldn’t face any issues with their rear suspension this time around.

Racing Bulls have ‘deeply revised’ aerodynamics for 2025 F1 car after Red Bull inspiration

Hadjar admitted he faces a ‘stupid’ challenge ahead of his Racing Bulls debut as he battles to learn a new car from scratch.

He won’t be the only one facing such a dilemma though, with five other rookies on the Formula 1 grid for 2025.

The Frenchman may end up in one of the best cars of everyone, with his team having taken some inspiration from Red Bull’s car for their new machine.

Giorgio Piola says they have been able to focus harder on their aerodynamics and have deeply revised it after using Red Bull parts in other areas of their car.

“Well, it’s quite positive. Obviously, it took a lot from last year’s Red Bull,” he said. “Not only in the mechanics, the front suspension, the rear suspension, you also wrote [copied] everything practically [from the] rear axle of the 2024 Red Bull.

“So also we were able to concentrate more on the aspects of the single-seater. The aerodynamics have been deeply revised.”

Can Yuki Tsunoda earn his first F1 win with Racing Bulls in 2025?

Casting one eye back to the 2020 Formula 1 season, there were multiple surprises throughout the year even though one team was dominant.

The field apart from Mercedes was incredibly close, and everything points to 2025 being even closer between the 20 drivers.

AlphaTauri (now Racing Bulls) won a race that year at the Italian Grand Prix, courtesy of some luck with a well-timed safety car and great strategy execution.

Tsunoda’s best result is fourth, which he managed back in his rookie season. His future with the team is uncertain after being denied a Red Bull promotion.

If anyone in the midfield is ready to produce a surprise, it’s probably the 24-year-old who has a point to prove this season.
