Red Bull Racing fans are all asking the same ‘painful’ question after watching their F1 75 livery launch

Red Bull have unveiled the livery for the RB21 ahead of the 2025 F1 season. They joined their fellow teams on stage at the F1 75 launch event in London.

The Milton Keynes-based outfit were third-to-last in revealing their design. The evening went in reverse order from the constructors’ championship in 2024.

Red Bull have opted for continuity with their livery for the RB21 with little changes to their previous looks. Max Verstappen was ‘super excited’ by Red Bull’s design, but he had been asking for something else.

Verstappen had been calling for a throwback livery from Red Bull, expressing his love for the Sebastian Vettel era. But the team have stuck with their matte blue colour.

The Dutchman had previously expressed his desire to skip the F1 75 event. While he seemed to be joking at the time, David Croft noticed Verstappen was not ‘full of joy’ before the event.

The reception from Red Bull was frosty, with boos being clearly heard from the crowd towards Verstappen and team principal Christian Horner. New signing Liam Lawson was also introduced as one of their drivers.

Red Bull fans question why their drivers and team principal were not interviewed at F1 75

Each team wee given equal time on stage at F1 75 and could do as they pleased with that time. Horner opted to be the spokesperson for Red Bull’s livery with Verstappen and Lawson joining the car on stage shortly after.

None of the three Red Bull figures were interviewed on stage and were the only team not to do so. Taking to the comments on the team’s Instagram account, fans were left perplexed by why Verstappen, Lawson and Horner did not conduct interviews.

One fan asked: “No Red Bull interview, what was that about?” while another asked the same question: “Why no interview[?]”

Some fans did not take too kindly to Red Bull not being interviewed. One said: “Not interviewing them was a bit too much,” while another felt: “It was painful to see that they didn’t get interviewed.”

One fan was applauded by the reception Red Bull got at F1 75: “No interviews as they know that the crowd would boo and cry!! Disgusting behaviour! Max, Liam and Christian you deserve so much better!!”

Finally, one fan felt: “Silence is the best answer,” highlighting the team will do the talking on the track in the RB21.

Red Bull ‘agreed’ to not be interviewed at F1 75 beforehand

Without content, it may seem confusing or perhaps asinine that Red Bull were not interviewed on stage when everyone else was. But that may have been the team’s decision.

Journalist Chris Medland said that Red Bull will have ‘pre-agreed’ to not be interviewed. In hindsight, it was a wise decision given the reception the team received – especially Horner and Verstappen.

Medland also outlined that the boos seemed to be a minority. He reported that it was a ‘good effort from the crowd’ to ‘drown out’ the negative reaction to Verstappen.

Many British F1 fans still hold a grudge towards the four-time champion following the event of the 2021 season, when Verstappen controversially won the title on the final lap in Abu Dhabi over Lewis Hamilton.
