Will Buxton declares one 2025 Formula 1 livery ‘perfect’ after watching F1 75 launch event

The 2025 Formula 1 season has been on the horizon for months, but the F1 75 livery launch event at The O2 in London has given fans something to get excited about ahead of the first race of the year.

The Australian Grand Prix is only a month away but before then, every team will descend on Bahrain for three days of pre-season testing and the latest season of Drive To Survive will be released.

Max Verstappen will be hoping to secure a record-equalling fifth consecutive world championship, but there are question marks over whether Red Bull will have the fastest car.

That could be a competition between McLaren and Ferrari, with McLaren making some bold design decisions to try and retain the constructors’ championship.

Meanwhile, every car in the midfield will be hoping they can bridge the gap to the top four manufacturers and if they can’t then they may turn their attention to Formula 1’s new regulations being introduced in 2026.

However, the first outing of every car’s livery took place on Tuesday and while that’s not going to impact their performance – unless they lose thousandths of a second for using too much paint – it does make an impact on a team’s popularity.

Will Buxton has moved on from his role within F1 TV but is still keeping a close eye on the sport.

He declared that Racing Bulls’ new livery is ‘perfect’ after it was unveiled by Yuki Tsunoda and new driver Isack Hadjar.

It was by far the most different livery compared to last season and caught plenty of people’s attention to go alongside their new identity in 2025.

Racing Bulls posted an image of their car on Instagram after the F1 75 event with the caption: “Bet you didn’t see this one coming.”

Buxton replied in the comments and simply said: “Perfect. No notes,” while many fans were giving it a 10/10.

One reply stated: “Easily the best livery on the grid,” while another described the look as ‘iconic’.

Buxton took to X after the show had concluded and declared: “For me, Best presentation – Williams.

“Best livery – Visa Cash App Alpha Toro Minardi Racing Rosso Tauri Bulls.”

Meanwhile, speaking on The Fast and The Curious Podcast, journalist Christian Hewgill added his admiration for the livery as well and said: “There was one [livery] that hugely stood out.

“Barely any of them changed, we just mentioned Aston [Martin], we enjoyed the James Bond theme, but it’s fundamentally the same car.

“Beautiful livery! Now that is a good old-fashioned livery launch where they did used to change a bit.

“And we’ve got white back. So, this time last year, they were all trying to weight save so they all stripped the paint off and they were all carbon, notable that Alpine have gone back to being a pretty blue with a lot more pink for their sponsors, Alpine looks great.

“But the Racing Bulls, that is a beautiful white livery, that is stunning.”

Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar face an uphill battle during 2025 Formula 1 season

Tsunoda and Hadjar may be the punchiest pair of drivers on the grid in 2025.

Both are well known for their occasional outbursts on the team radio, although Tsunoda’s attempting to control his temper better after missing out on a Red Bull promotion over the winter.

Racing Bulls are one team that appear to be concentrating on 2026, but they also have the support of Red Bull who provide them with certain parts, allowing them to shift their focus forward.

That might mean that Racing Bulls’ drivers could have a more difficult time this year, but that won’t be known until testing begins.
