As Formula 1 surges in global popularity after the success of Drive to Survive and excellent management from Liberty Media, new luxury real estate is popping up next to some of the greatest F1 tracks in the world. Today’s example is a $1.25 million luxury condominium with incredible views of the legendary Circuit of the Americas of Austin, Texas, which is up for sale by Eric Moreland Group.
COTA is one of the greatest tracks of the F1 season, with 3.4 miles of tarmac, 20 corners, cambers, and intense elevation changes. Being the first purpose-built F1 track in the United States, it was designed for great racing and fan engagement, with spaces surrounding the track that celebrate the attendees just as much as the drivers.
From its start in 2012, it has since become an unmissable aspect of American motorsport, offering not only F1, but MotoGP and NASCAR, too.
Built in 2024, the 2,250 sq ft luxury apartment follows a growing trend and investment in the sport and its surrounding industries. Looking over Turn 11, it features an open living-kitchen area, a mezzanine, and most importantly, a space for its lucky owner to park up to eight cars, depending on their size.
Interestingly, while this luxury apartment is indeed luxury in every sense of the word, it doesn’t consist of any bedrooms. But don’t let that put you off.
Each build is modern but simple, with kitchens consisting of an island, cupboard space, a hob, oven, sink, and wooden flooring. The living space boasts comfy grey seating with a dining table for four, and the bathroom has heated floors and a marble wall. As I mentioned before, it is still BYOB (bring your own bed).
Across the Atlantic, Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix, has done something very similar. Escapade Silverstone is offering a number of luxury accommodations that sit just metres from the tarmac. With 60 apartments, each featuring open-plan living spaces, outdoor terraces, and en-suites for every bedroom, they offer a true dream home for any petrolhead. That’s as long as you have a budget of £1.2m, of course.
