Arvid Lindblad is seen as the next super talent to come out of Red Bull, having recently won the Formula Regional Oceania title.
The British driver is now over the 40-point super licence point threshold needed to be issued a licence to race in F1, having earned 18 points in his title win, which means Red Bull could use him as a reserve driver in 2025.
Lindblad is taking on the Formula 2 title this year with Campos and is expected to be one of the favourites, having finished fourth in the Drivers’ standings in Formula 3 last season.
Those within Red Bull have started to talk about Lindblad in the same way they did with Max Verstappen, meaning he could be on the F1 grid sooner rather than later.
Lindblad sent Lando Norris a message on Instagram and recently revealed in an interview with the Inside Line F1 podcast the inspiration behind what he told him.

Arvid Lindblad was inspired by Lewis Hamilton to send Lando Norris message
In a clip that was unearthed from Norris’ YouTube channel, Lindblad was competing in go-karts at 14 years old when he approached the McLaren driver and told him, “I want you to remember me, you’ll see me in five years!”
Lindblad revealed that it was Lewis Hamilton who inspired him to make the comment, after what he once told former McLaren boss Ron Dennis.
“I was just walking in the paddock, and he was there that day because he launched his go-kart and just felt like it,” said Lindblad.
“I remember the story of Hamilton when he saw Ron Dennis for the first time and said, ‘I’ll drive one of your cars one day,’ and I just thought, ‘Why not? Just tell him I’ll be driving against him in a few years time’ So it was a spur-of-the-moment thing and just said it with full confidence.”
What Arvid Lindblad must do to earn 2026 F1 seat
The 2026 F1 driver market is set to be another hive of activity this year, given a lot of teams will want to have their drivers set for the big regulation change.
Impressing the likes of Helmut Marko and Christian Horner is one of the best ways to earn a fast track to F1, with Lindblad keen on doing so in 2025.
Horner is said to not be keen on promoting Yuki Tsunoda to the main Red Bull team and with him only on a contract for 2025, it looks likely that there could be an opening at Racing Bulls.
Lindblad would be in prime position if he can put together a strong F2 season, having impressed so far in the winter break.
