Aston Martin have been enduring a very difficult season despite getting a lot of investment from the team owner Lawrence Stroll.
The British team sit fourth in the Constructors’ Championship and a long way behind the top four teams with three rounds to go.
Aston Martin has struggled this season and haven’t scored a podium despite their immense funding and Mercedes power unit.
They also have two-time world champion Fernando Alonso in their car but the Spaniard has made little impact over the year.
Former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner explained at the Oxford Union how Lawrence Stroll is leading the team in his goal to win the world championship.
Lawrence Stroll is ‘investing a lot of money’ at Aston Martin to build a winning team

Stroll first acquired a stake in company in January 2020 when Racing Point transformed into the Aston Martin F1 Team for the following season.
The Canadian has made two significant signings in the driver market in multiple world champions Sebastian Vettel and Alonso.
Aston Martin enjoyed a brief upturn in form at the start of 2023 as Alonso took multiple podiums in the opening few rounds.
They suffered a lacklustre run as they went the wrong way with development last year and have failed to return to racing at the front.
Some Aston Martin engineers potentially were too timid to admit an error to Stroll as the team have struggled to make significant improvements this year.

Steiner explained Stroll is investing significant amounts of money and a engine deal with Honda is on the horizon.
He said: “Lawrence Stroll, he has got one mission. He wants to win the world championship. We need to say also he has a car company which he wants to bring up Aston Martin, the road cars, and he wants to do that with a programme in Formula 1.
“Therefore, he invests a lot of money into it. He built a new facility in Silverstone, new wind tunnel, everything there. Alonso as a driver, has now a engine contract with Honda, which means he’s a works team.”
Aston Martin will be looking to improve with Adrian Newey in the team
Adrian Newey will be joining the team in 2025 after a successful and lengthy stint at Red Bull where he mastered the ground effect cars.
The British engineer has won the championship at Red Bull in his career although Juan Pablo Montoya didn’t like one thing Newey designed at McLaren.
He will have his first serious impact at Aston Martin in 2026 when the new regulations are brought in and they switch to Honda engines.
Honda have improved a lot as an engine manufacturer and are among the best in the field when it comes to power and unreliability. This should help Aston Martin as they won’t be a customer to Mercedes.
